What you will do

As a Workplace Support Engineer, you are responsible for the operational management and support of managed client endpoint solutions within our ICT environment. You play a key role in ensuring a stable and secure workplace infrastructure by providing 2nd line support, executing ITIL-based operational tasks, and contributing to project implementations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operational Support & Incident Management:
    • Provide 2nd line support for managed client endpoints, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to client endpoints.
    • Escalate complex issues to 3rd line support when necessary, ensuring proper documentation.
    • Work within ITIL frameworks to manage incidents, problems, changes, and service requests.

  • Endpoint Management & Maintenance:
    • Perform client OS and application patching to maintain security compliance.
    • Deploy and update applications using endpoint management solutions.
    • Monitor and maintain endpoint security configurations and compliance policies.
    • Maintain accurate asset management and documentation of workplace solutions.
  • Project Execution & Continuous Improvement:
    • Assist in the rollout of new workplace technologies and endpoint solutions.
    • Support automation initiatives to streamline operational processes.
    • Participate in testing and deployment of new applications and updates.
    • Provide user training and documentation to enhance adoption of workplace technologies.

Who you are

  • Experience with endpoint management solutions (e.g., Intune, Filewave, SCCM).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows/macOS environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Knowledge of application packaging and software deployment.
  • Understanding of security best practices, including endpoint hardening and patch management.
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
