Tax Support Officer

What you will do

As the Tax Support Officer at imec, you will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure tax compliance. You will assist the corporate finance team with all tax-related matters, contributing to a dynamic and innovative environment alongside leading experts in the field. 

Your key responsibilities will be:  

  • Track and identify changes in tax legislation and incentives. 
  • Handle obligations in Transfer Pricing, Corporate Tax, VAT, and deductions. 
  • Collaborate with tax and finance teams, providing support to local finance managers. 
  • Assist in preparing returns and applications in collaboration with internal and external specialists. 
  • Provide advice on tax-related questions and assist local tax audits. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and share expertise with colleagues. 

(Corporate) Income Tax

  • Prepare and contribute to tax returns and related documentation. 
  • Investigate tax incentives and help to establish the necessary processes. 

International Taxation

  • Oversee international tax structures and transfer pricing policies. 
  • Prepare and review transfer pricing calculations and documentation. 
  • Prepare and submit tax and VAT returns for foreign entities. 

VAT

  • Assist in preparing and managing VAT formalities and audits. 
  • Offer VAT advice on both national and international matters. 
  • Track and implement changes in VAT legislation.

Who you are

  • You have a Master’s degree in (applied) economics or equivalent experience. 
  • You have 5-8 years in a multinational environment. 
  • You are a strong communicator in both Dutch and English. 
  • You are analytical, detail-oriented, stress-resistant, and tech-savvy.
