Our projects are executed in close collaboration with industry partners, and often cover the complete field from applications to architecture concepts, circuit specs, down to final implementation and demonstration. We are also very involved and visible in the scientific and academic community, engage PhD students in our research, and publish our results in top conferences and journals, allowing our researchers to grow in their career and collaborate with other institutes. 

To help push the frontiers of analog and mixed signal circuits and devices, we are looking for a new colleague to join us in the Health and Life Sciences domain.  

What you will do

As a Researcher Analog Circuit Design, your key responsibilities will be:  

  • Design innovative and high-performance integrated circuits focusing on a.o. implantable therapeutics, nerve stimulation and wireless power transfer. This includes blocks like sensor readouts, ADCs for medical applications, instrumentation amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, analog filtering, programmable gain amplifiers, etc.  
  • Driving the bottom-up evolution of designs taking technology scaling into account. 
  • Together with the team, bringing new ideas and new technical methods to life, based on your solid technical experience. 
  • Interacting technically with external partners as part of an existing collaboration or towards new partners. 
  • Publishing your state-of-the-art research results in international conferences and journals.

Who you are

  • PhD or Master’s degree (3+ years of experience) in Electronic Engineering with relevant working experience in Health and Life Science domain. 
  • Strong experience in analog IC design (design, layout and verification). 
  • Solid understanding of transistors, circuits, architectures, control loops and signal integrity. 
  • Experience with Cadence IC6 and signoff tools (like Calibre) is a must.  
  • You come up with new technical methods, ideas and concepts which bring significant impact on our research to define and implement next-generation best-in-class analog designs.  
  • Experience with CMOS is a must.   
  • You show a passion for research and innovation. 
  • You can work independently yet in close collaboration with colleagues and other experts.  
  • You easily integrate in an international team. 
  • Exhibit strong reporting skills and present technical choices and results in a clear manner. 
  • You are willing to grow an external scientific network including students/PhDs under your supervision. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
