You will be the finance business partner for the corporate support organisation (ICT, HR, Finance, ...) and act as a financial planner for the entire imec organisation.

Business Controller  

What you will do

As Business Controller you will play a crucial role in ensuring imec’s financial sustainability. With your expertise in both business partnering, financial planning and cost modelling you will support management in taking the right business decisions. You will report directly to the Group Controller. 
As finance business partner, you will: 

  • Prepare and closely monitor budgets and forecasts for all corporate support units (ICT, HR, Finance, ...). 
  • Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights and support decision-making. 
  • Make relevant and accurate analyses and formulate proposals for efficient cost control. 
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization. 
  • Prepare and present management dashboards to support and guide corporate management. 
  • Provide financial advice to line management in making tactical and strategic decisions. 

As financial planner, you will: 

  • Design, build and maintain financial planning models to forecast imec’s future performance. 
  • Coordinate and consolidate the preparation of forecasts, budgets and long-range plans. 
  • Use forecast models to simulate scenarios to evaluate potential risks and opportunities. 
  • Set-up and maintain cost models to calculate standard cost rates and relevant variants (full vs marginal cost, ...). 
  • Create and maintain master data elements owned by business controlling: cost centers, ... 
  • Steer imec’s roadmap regarding forecasting tools (Anaplan, ...) 
  • Actively contribute to projects related to financial system and process improvements (ERP, ...).

Who you are

  • You hold a master’s degree in an economic field. 
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in business controlling (or equivalent).   
  • You succeed in presenting complex financial figures concisely and you know how to convince based on facts and analysis. 
  • With your interpersonal skills you are a business partner who creates impact and dares to challenge results. 
  • You have expertise in financial modelling and planning.   
  • Proven experience with forecasting tools (Anaplan, Tagetik, ....) is a plus. 
  • You have impeccable Excel skills and manage to translate numbers into meaningful insights. 
  • You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
