Program Manager Design Platform Infrastructures

Research & development - Leuven | Just now

Embark on an exciting journey with the EU Chip Design Platform - Lower the barrier for startups to access EDA, IP and IC foundries.

Program Manager Design Platform Infrastructures

The EU’s Design Platform will provide access to EDA tools and IP libraries (proprietary and open source), as well as services, in a secure, interoperable, scalable, and flexible environment – with the goal of a faster, cheaper design process, particularly for SMEs. The platform will reduce barriers to entry e.g. cost and licensing, and facilitate access to the Pilot Lines for steps from prototyping to tape out. More widely, the platform should foster collaboration and enable training on EDA tools. Moving ahead, it will also support quantum technologies and integration of AI (including to address the shortage of skills in design).

What you will do

  • As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Design Platform consortium and to develop the long-term strategy for the Design Platform.
  • You will be responsible for building partnerships between design tool vendors, design & IP houses and the European designer ecosystem. This will include building connections with the Pilot Lines and the competence centers in the various EU member states. Your open communication, enthusiasm and drive will be key to create a strong network and reach your goals.
  • You will be advocating the Design Platform services towards European SMEs and startups, also in close collaboration with the EUROPRACTICE program.
  • You will be contributing to the overall strategy of imec.IC-link. You will report directly to the Strategic Development Director of the unit.
  • You will seek for constant improvements of both the quality and speed of our innovations and services. We will count on you to bring new ideas and help implementing them.
