Information Security Specialist – Security Awareness & Culture Change

What you will do

To further strengthen our security team, imec is looking for an Information Security Specialist focused on driving security awareness and fostering a strong security culture across the organization. Your mission is to inspire, educate, and empower employees to embrace security best practices in their daily work. 
 
As an Information Security Specialist, your key responsibilities include: 

• Championing security awareness initiatives to embed a security-conscious mindset throughout imec. 
• Designing, developing, and delivering engaging security awareness programs, training sessions, and communication campaigns. 
• Managing the security ambassador community, a group of business stakeholders who support the Security Office team in implementing security measures throughout the organization. 
• Supporting the Information Security Officer in implementing imec’s information security strategy with a strong focus on cultural transformation. 
• Collaborating with business units and our security ambassador community to advocate for secure behaviours and best practices. 
• Leading by example, fostering a proactive and risk-aware environment through interaction, coaching, and real-world applications.

Who you are

We are looking for a highly motivated person who is passionate about security awareness and culture change. The ideal candidate has: 

• at least 3 years' experience in education, training and culture change 
• excellent communication skills with diverse audiences. You can communicate information security risks and requirements in a way that resonates with diverse audiences. 
• experience managing cross department communities within an organisation 
• the capability to translate information security risks and requirements in business language; 
• a pro-active attitude & the ability to think outside of the box; 
• strong critical thinking and analytical skills 

Additionally, following is considered a plus: 

• knowledge of international standards and frameworks with regards to information and cyber security such as the ISO 27000 series and NIST 800 series of standards 
• demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, operations, information security programs and technology projects 
• the ability to be an enterprise security subject matter expert who can explain technical topics to those without a technical background
