System Software Development for Edge Computing

Leuven | Just now

Shape the future of edge computing by bringing cutting-edge APIs to life on NVIDIA Jetson where software meets hardware innovation.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team for a several-month internship. This role focuses on developing/porting computer vision APIs from an existing solution to a new NVIDIA Jetson platform, providing a hands-on experience in software development for cutting-edge embedded systems.

The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in system solutions and foundational programming skills, particularly in languages like Python, C and C++. Familiarity with platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson, and Linux OS is a significant advantage. Knowledge of GPU optimization and AI is beneficial but not mandatory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and analyzing the existing API implementations.
  • Adapting and optimizing the APIs for the NVIDIA Jetson platform.
  • Testing and validating the API functionality on the target hardware.
  • Collaborating with the team to address challenges and document progress.

While prior experience with embedded system development is not required, a willingness to learn and adapt is essential. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software and hardware within a dynamic and innovative environment.
