Project Engineer – Hardware Support and Projects

What you will do

The Project Engineer for the Hardware Support & Project’s team (HWSP) has hands-on practical skills to design and implement projects to boost efficiency for FAB Engineering. HWSP is supporting the various maintenance groups that work on the semiconductor hardware in the fab. At the same time, HWSP is part of a bigger FabOSE group (Fab Operational Sustainability & Efficiency) and as such also involved in some programs to reduce the environmental footprint.
Your main responsibilities are:
  • Be able to report-out on initiatives in a style that is comprehensible for senior management – be knowledgeable on concepts such as ROI, Kpi driven results and executive updates.
  • Be organised in documentation governance
  • Setup and implementing projects to improve the efficiency of the working floor (Lean 5S methodology)
-Registration project of calibration and working equipment
-Optimization of available space in the cleanroom for maintenance assets
-Inspections and audits to ensure proper 5S conditions are maintained.
  • Help with logistic services to the fab maintenance groups.
-Backup for the supply chain of process kits and subfab components (pumps, chillers)
-Help on improvement implementations of these process kit and subfab components management.
-Optimize related logistic processes and administrative tasks.
  • Improvement projects for administrative simplification by helping to implement mobile apps. Goal is to make service leaner for the users. On a longer term, learn to design and optimize apps yourself (PowerApps, SharePoint)
  • As Project Engineer: report in a consistent manner to HWSP and FabOSE Management. Autonomy is important as many projects will be novel and require the ability to independently explore and to analyse. Therefore, learning of internal processes within the fab is important. Strong interpersonal skills will help to communicate effectively, also with other Fab areas and tool owners
  • Able to manage people even when not direct reporting to you.
  • Cooperate with other colleagues in the HWSP or FabOSE team that have projects ongoing with shared interests; constructively achieve common goals.
  • Remain flexible as you navigate changing priorities between projects. The HWSP manager will support you in setting priorities correctly.
  • Drive continuous improvements – listen to customers, assist in logistic or maintenance driven processes to see opportunities. Be creative!
