What you will do

Join our dynamic team at Technology Integration & Prototyping Department at IMEC as a Process Integration Engineer where you will be at forefront of semiconductor innovation. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement novel process flows for 200mm and 300mm wafers.  

Our main core competencies are photonics, MEMS & NEMS, post-processing on imagers and microfluidics which may be tuned for customer requirements. 

In this job, you will be responsible for development and characterization for new silicon technologies. 

Your primary responsibilities are: 

  • To define and pro-actively follow up process development and device lots. 
  • To support device, process and module optimization.
  • To assist in troubleshooting and solving problems.
  • To team up with other integration and process engineers to execute the project plan.  
  • To interpret in-line data.

Who you are

  • You have a PhD degree in physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent or Master degree with semiconductor industry experiences. 
  • Experience in semiconductor process technology and wafer fabrication is an asset 
  • You can work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task and prioritize assignments 
  • You are able to take initiative and work independently, while being part of a team acting as an effective team player 
  • You have good communication, computer- and organizational skills 
  • You are comfortable handling and analysing data 
  • You have good organizational skills and show flexibility to change between different projects and tasks according to changing priorities
  • Fluency in English is essential in an international environment.
