As a Fab Applications Business Analyst, you analyze the requirements from operational applications needed to run the Pilot Lines effectively and efficiently.

What you will do

  • Your primary task will be to understand needs and business processes from the Fab related to operational/CIM applications, and to translate their needs into clear user requirements. 
  • To that end, you interact with many people throughout and outside the Fab organization to understand what they are trying to accomplish.  
  • You negotiate with the business on the trade-off between technical feasibility and usability/benefits of requested functionalities. 
  • You create prototypes and/or wireframes to validate proposals with requesters. 
  • You define performance requirements and acceptance criteria.  
  • You perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and create/update user documentation for implemented functionalities. 
  • You provide second (and occasionally first) level business support for the users of the operational applications, including investigating and resolving issues that don’t require ICT involvement and training/coaching of users. 
  • You collaborate closely with functional analyst and (solution) architects in ICT and our implementation partner(s) and review the functional designs created by them based on your business requirements. 
  • You collaborate closely with the reporting teams that create reports and data products based on the operational applications.

Who you are

  • You have a Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g. in Electronics, Materials science or Chemistry), Exact Sciences, or equal by experience. 
  • You have minimum 2 years experience with business analysis, user acceptance testing and/or customer/user support for operational/CIM applications. 
  • You have prior experience in manufacturing or the process industry.  
  • Prior experience in or knowledge of semiconductor processing is a strong asset. 
  • You have strong (technical) communication skills. You are an engaged listener, able to detect the needs of your internal stakeholders. 
  • You have a pro-active approach and initiate actions when needed. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive right into the action.  
  • You can work autonomously, take initiative and are capable to plan and organize your own work.  
  • Since you will be working in a highly international environment and will be maintaining a good contact with colleagues and co-workers from all over the world, fluency in English is essential.
