Silicon Photonics/III-V Laser Integration Engineer
What you will do
- As part of the PRCP (Photonics, RF and Cryo Pathfinding) Team, you will lead and contribute to projects focused on Silicon Photonics and III-V integration.
- As a Silicon Photonics/III-V Laser Integration Engineer, your mission will be to coordinate and implement innovative ideas, concepts, and process flows on wafers in imec’s advanced FAB.
- You will collaborate closely with the device design, characterization, and process development teams to define and optimize process options that enable seamless laser co-integration with silicon photonics.
- By analyzing in-line, electrical, and optical data, you will assess the impact of process variables on device performance, ensuring data-driven development and optimization.
- You will communicate your findings and progress to internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and externally to imec customers, core partners, and the broader scientific community through presentations and reports.
- You will need to stay on top of the state of the art within your competence domain and benchmark imec’s solutions.
- You will be assigned a mentor who will guide you through the training program and support you during your first months in the role. The mentor will introduce you to imec's activities, teach you everything you need to know to excel in your role.
- As timing is critical in our business, we are looking for people with strong logical and organizational skills, who can respond effectively to incoming request and issues in a timely manner. We need people who enjoy a (high) level of freedom in their work, who are looking for an intellectual challenge, and who are willing and able to learn fast.
