Process Integration Project Leader / Project Manager - Platform Efficiency Team

What you will do

  • Work in the Platform Efficiency Department as a Project Leader or Project Manager, depending on your experience level.
  • Be the Team Leader for one of two small semiconductor Process Integration focused teams in the Platform Efficiency Department.
    • Either the Transistor Platform Team, or the BEOL & Beyond Platform Team (loosely FEOL platforms vs. BEOL + 3D Integration platforms).
    • Manage the team members' performance and ensure project goals and department goals are met. Be responsible for performance review, salary adjustment, and employee growth.
  • Lead semiconductor Process Integration activities – both as an experienced process integration individual contributor, and as a project leader / coach for less experienced integration members.
  • Manage the assigned projects for your team.  The project list will be taken from the list below:
    • Full flow platformization of a wide range of flows.  The activity touches a diverse range of programs, from very advanced CMOS, Memory, 3D integration, and Tech Transfer needs.  Take the basic research flow and status, and drive improvement in consistency, uniformity, and stability.  Perform single and dual factor margin tests, drive defectivity improvement.
    • Module Maturity activity: work on Modules which are in advanced pathfinding flows, to support local improvements to module stability and repeatability. These are flows which are immature enough that the whole flow cannot be ‘platformized’,
    • Platform Modules: working on small modules which are used across several programs at IMEC.  Determine the optimal processes and conditions to provide consistently effective results, utilizing windowing and process margin understanding.
  • Be responsible for the progress of the project, working in a matrix organization.
  • Help define the goals and schedule of the projects.  Set high level schedule, deliverables, and ensure resource allocation for proper execution.
  • Manage technical issue resolution.  Discuss with process teams, device, and other integration members to scope, review, and define process to solve technical hurdles.
  • Leverage your experience to window and margin test modules, working to establish optimal settings which work across major program families which are inherently dissimilar, and have their own unique needs.
  • Communicate status and issues to your peers, customers, as well as the management team at imec.
