We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Quality Engineer with extensive experience in the design, testing, assembly, characterization, and qualification of ASIC products. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

ASIC Product Quality Engineer

What you will do

  • Monitor Quality of Deliverables: Continuously monitor and verify the quality of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with work procedures and industry standards. 
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks within the project team to ensure project success. 
  • 8D Root Cause Analysis and support Failure Analysis (F/A): Conduct thorough 8D root cause analysis and support failure analysis to resolve quality issues effectively. 
  • Liaise with Managers and Staff: Efficiently interact with managers and staff to handle project change requests and ensure smooth project execution. 
  • Proactive Work Ethic: Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact project timelines or quality. 
  • Review Customer Quality Agreements: Review and ensure compliance with customer quality agreements and requirements. 
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and requirements. 
  • RMA Analysis: Analyse customer complaints to drive product and process improvements. 
  • Quality Audits: Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical tools and methods to analyse quality data and drive decision-making. 
  • Train and Mentor: Provide training and mentoring to team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. 
  • Change Management: Manage changes to processes, materials, and products to ensure quality is maintained. 
  • Proper Closure of Project Gates: Ensure all project gates are properly closed, adhering to established protocols and documentation requirements.

Who you are

  • Experience: experience in the design, testing, assembly, characterization, and qualification of ASIC products. 
  • Education: A degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of work experience, of which at least 2 years of experience in quality-related work areas 
  • Industry Knowledge: knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for ASIC products, including ISO 9001 for general quality assurance, IATF 16949 for automotive quality management, and ESCC for space qualification. 
  • Technical Skills: knowledge in statistical analysis tools and methods, 8D root cause analysis, and failure analysis techniques. 
  • Quality Methodologies: Knowledge of various quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Continuous Improvement is an added advantage. 
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with managers, staff, and suppliers. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
