We are performing advanced research in several high-end applications, where the development of state-of-the-art integrated circuits is a key enabler. Our projects are executed in close collaboration with industry partners and often cover the complete field, from applications to architecture concepts and circuit specs to final implementation and demonstration.

What you will do

As an analog IC design engineer at imec, you will collaborate with our customers to take our advanced research outcomes to the next level. In our unique ecosystem, you will be involved throughout the complete design and measurement cycle.  

Thanks to your expertise you will:

  • Design state-of-the-art analog building blocks from detailed block-level specifications in close collaboration with the customer technical team, according to the industry-standard design flows. 
  • Contribute to high-quality reporting and documentation. 
  • Play an active role in design review meetings; both on-site and at customer premises. 
  • Measure your own circuit blocks. 
  • Mentor junior colleagues and internship or thesis students. 
  • Always be up-to-date with the latest developments in analog design flows. 
  • Translate customer ideas into specifications.
  • Provide the business managers with technical input and resource estimates for project proposals. 
  • Support industrial test houses, customers, and third parties in the supply chain for the final product.

Who you are

Your aspiration is to work in a diverse research environment among some of the top researchers in the world, using the most advanced technologies. Your contribution? Taking the research outcome to the next level! 

  • You hold at least a Master’s degree with an emphasis on analog IC design. 
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, lab experience (manual and automated measurement) is a plus. 
  • You have contributed to at least 1 silicon-proven design.  
  • You are familiar with industry-standard design tools and methodologies. 
  • You are a team player who is able to pursue and find compromise. 
  • You possess strong reporting and presentation skills. 
  • You thrive in a multidisciplinary and international team.   
  • You focus on quality and have a product-oriented mindset. 
  • You communicate fluently in English.
