Imec.IC-link ( https://www.imec-int.com/en/ic-link) helps customers design chips and bring them to the prototype and the mass production stage at top chip foundries. Imec is a qualified TSMC Value Chain Alliance partner and offers state-of-the-art prototype and volume fabrication services to fabless companies and system houses. Imec.IC-link provides its customers with specialized technical solutions for the design prototyping, and mass production of chips. 
 
As a Team Lead for Chip Engineering Logistics in Leuven, you will guide a team of people who will serve as the key liaison between world-class chip foundries and our local customers. Working hand in hand with the engineering team, your chief duty will be to guarantee that your team delivers exceptional, client-centric support to startups, SMEs, academic institutions, and system houses throughout the intricate tape-out process.  
Your key responsibilities:  
  • Initiate Process Optimization: As a Team Leader, you will not only manage all aspects of personnel management but also proactively initiate the rethinking and optimization of business processes to ensure the highest quality of work and rapid customer service. 
  • Encourage Teamwork: Promote collaboration both within your team and across other imec.IC-link teams to enhance the quality of work and ensure fast customer service. 
  • Utilize Expertise: Use your knowledge to significantly improve the customer experience and take the lead in business process optimization. 
  • Train for Excellence: Guarantee that your team receives adequate training to deliver exceptional customer support. 
  • Global Communication: Engage with our international customers to arrange everything necessary for the seamless technical execution of chip production projects. 
  • Project Oversight: Monitor and report on the progress and deliveries of ongoing projects through Work-In-Progress database systems. 
  • Logistics Coordination: Organize the receipt and dispatch of shipments in collaboration with the imec warehouse team. 
  • Purchase Order Review: Conduct an initial assessment of incoming purchase orders to ensure they are directed to the appropriate individuals.

Who you are

  • You are an excellent English language communicator – verbally and written. 
  • You enjoy interacting with people. 
  • You are eager to learn about the chip business. Any familiarity with semiconductors is an asset. 
  • You can either show relevant experience in supporting a high-tech team or have at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in logistics. A master’s degree is appreciated. 
  • You are customer-focused. You can easily put yourself in the place of the customer. 
  • You are an efficient planner, and you work accurately. 
  • You like to learn to use new software tools. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an asset. 
  • You recognize that in the semiconductor business, every day counts.  
  • You like to take initiative and are motivated to work closely with a team of great engineers.
