Library Characterization Engineer

What you will do

You will participate in the activities of imec IC-link’s design group and collaborate with highly experienced digital and analog design teams. IC-link provides full turnkey ASIC services to universities and companies worldwide while supporting imec research and industrialization on a broad range of technologies.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Set up and maintain library characterization and validation workflows
  • Lead library characterization projects for standard cells, I/O libraries, memories and mixed-signal macros
  • Assist designers in making best decisions with respect to modelling constraints
  • Support internal and external customers
  • Mentor interns and junior engineers

Who you are

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • You have 3 years or more of hands-on experience in library characterization using Liberate and Spectre tools
  • You have solid understanding of Liberty modelling for advanced technologies (CCS, ECSM, LVF)
  • You have basic understanding of STA and synthesis engines
  • You are proficient in Linux and scripting languages like CSH, TCL, Python, and Perl
  • You have excellent programming, analytical and debugging skills
  • You are enthusiastic about workflow automation and process streamlining
  • You are autonomous and proactive
  • You have good written and oral communication skills in English
  • You are willing to relocate to Belgium
