The WHISPERS conference focuses on hyperspectral data processing and the research in this field. This year, a challenge is organized to boost object-tracking research. Participants receive tens of training and testing videos to test their object-tracking algorithms. The contender with the best algorithms, wins the contest.
Imec is involved in this challenge: it optimizes the quality of the hyperspectral videos and puts its SNAPSHOT VIS camera into action for the contenders.
Jun Zhou, Associate Professor at the Griffith University (organizer of the challenge): “The imec snapshot cameras are the only ones on the market that can fulfill a wide range of computer vision tasks and that offer high frame rate, high-quality hyperspectral images, and convenient operation.”
